What kind of BBQ sauce do you prefer?
Yesterday, we only served two BBQ sauces...our sweet red Kansas City style sauce, and the peppery vinegar NC style (see post below). TLW claims to have a theory about the percentage of customers who would prefer sweet to other types. So here is your chance to settle the discussion once and for all....
I was going to put this in "poll form" but I think I would rather get more of an explanation as to how you describe your "ultimate sauce"...

I love vinegar based and a hot and spicy tomato based sauces. My husband is from North Carolina so he loves the vinegar based sauces. I also like sweet sauces sometimes but that would probaby be my third choice overall.

I'm with Titan, I like them all, but if I had to choose I'd go for the sweet stuff over the vinegary stuff.

This may sound terrible but I pretty well like them all. Depends on what I am in the mood for.
How can there be a favorite BBQ anything? It's ALL good.

It's sweet sauce all the way for me. At Arthur Bryants I hate the original(too salty) and go for the rich and spicy, Gates is ok as is. Of course in Georgia you always have these vinegar sauces and I've tasted a few that are good, but that's mostly because the meat was good before hand. Unfortunately it's getting harder with all the minimall smokeless bbq's popping up lately.

Having spent 30+ years in eastern NC, I like the vinegar-based sauce, too.
Tasted the General's today & think my taste prefers a little less "hotness." But some of his "hotness" sure is good in the vinegar-based sauce!
